Citroën has released first details for the new Citroën DS4, a unique and attractive blend of creativity, dynamism, exclusivity and versatility. DS4 is the second model in Citroën's distinctively-styled DS line. Citroën DS4 brings an alluring mixture of premium design codes and a bold approach to automotive styling, with an emphasis on driving pleasure and advanced vehicle architecture. DS4 is a model with a multitude of talents, effortlessly responding to a broad range of owner needs, while enhancing the appeal and vitality of the motoring experience. Citroën DS4 combines sophistication and refinement with a dynamic coupé-like body, creating exceptional versatility and day-to-day practicality within a compact design - 4.27m (l), 1.81m (w) & 1.53m (h). Citroën DS4 delivers a new "at-the-wheel" experience with unrivalled driving sensations and outstanding agile on-road handling. With its slightly raised stance and taut lines, Citroën DS4 is a unique and eye-catching addition to the segment. Finely crafted to convey a prestigious presence both inside and out, Citroën DS4 offers meticulous detailing from carefully applied chrome touches to premium cabin materials - such as the finest quality leather seats. A large panoramic windscreen, offering enhanced occupant visibility, illuminates the driver-focused cockpit, creating a bright and welcoming environment. Combining coupé style with 2+2 door practicality, Citroën DS4 offers three full-sized rear seats, accessed by rear doors with hidden handles that are seamlessly integrated into the body's flowing lines. Citroën DS4 also benefits from a capacious 370-litre boot and a host of clever storage solutions. The DS4's styling is set to be previewed by the High Rider concept car, which will be on display at next month's Geneva motor show. It will give the firm a rival to the Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman when it enters production in early 2011.
It uses the new Citroen C4’s platform, itself due to be launched later this year, and is taller and wider than the current C4 hatch at 1480mm and 1820mm, although it is slightly shorter than the current C4 at 4260mm. However, the styling is much more radical than the C4’s, drawing influence from both the smaller DS3 and the C-SportLounge concept from 2005.
Much of the High Rider’s front-end styling is borrowed from its smaller DS3 sibling, including the grille, headlights, bonnet sculpting and badging, all of which should carry over to the DS4 production car. More radical design features, such as its fog lights, 19-inch alloys and fabric roof, are unlikely to feature.
The DS4’s Engines are likely to be borrowed from the next C4 range and a version of the concept’s diesel-hybrid powertrain should also make production. The electric motor sits on the rear axle, providing extra power and torque to the rear wheels under certain driving conditions. The diesel engine drives the front wheels ensuring the car is four-wheel drive.
The DS4 will be further removed to the C4 than the DS3 is to the C3 and its origins are less obvious than the DS3’s. It will be pitched as a more refined and luxurious model within the C4 range, which includes hatchback and Picasso models, rather than the DS3’s billing as a sporty, more dynamic version of the C3.
The DS4 is scheduled to go on sale early next year, before a C5-based DS5 arrives later in 2011.

2011 Lotus Evora SLotus has taken the award winning Evora and re-created it with a 350 PS 3.5l V6 engine to create the Lotus Evora S. Dany Bahar Lotus' Chief Executive Officer summed it up beautifully when he said: "You don't realise what you were missing from your driving experience until you get behind the wheel of the Evora S."

Lotus Is the British manufacturer of Sports and Racing cars and is headquartered at Hethel, Norfolk, England on the former site of RAF Hethel, a World War II airfield. The company designs and builds race and production automobiles of light weight and high handling characteristics. The Evora range is one of the very proud productions of the company and has yielded great benefits for the same. The company however has decided to renew the range and hence is developing the Evora S and the Evora Auto as the newest additions to the same. Lotus accidentally confirmed today the launch of the Evora S and Evora Auto at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Lotus has offered little else on what we can expect to see at Paris other than describing the unknown concept as "the future evolution of an iconic British brand".

Lotus is known to be focusing its energies on breaking into the cashed-up luxury performance market, with an ultimate goal of tripling sales from around 2000-2500 cars per year to 7000.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
Celebrating its world premiere at the Paris motor show (October 2 - 17, 2010), the 2012 CLS-Class builds on the pioneering role of its predecessor with a fresh new interpretation. "The new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class points the way forward for the future perceptible design idiom of Mercedes-Benz", explains Professor Gorden Wagener, head of design at Mercedes-Benz. "At the same time it takes its inspiration from the great tradition of stylish, refined sportiness which has always been a feature of Mercedes coupés."

Mercedes-Benz has redesigned its E-Class sedans for a U.S. sales kickoff this summer as early 2010 models, so a new version of the related CLS-Class can't be far off, right? Well, yes and no. The pioneering "4-door coupe" is getting its own stem-to-stern makeover, but it probably won't reach North America until early 2011 as a 2012 entry.

The CLS-Class bowed in 2004 as a costlier, sexier take on the mainstream E-class premium-midsize sedan that remains one of Mercedes' most profitable products. Confounding some in the automotive media, but proving again that styling always sells, the CLS-Class has been a hit with well-heeled fashionistas, exceeding Mercedes' initial sales estimates by no less than 40 percent. Never mind that this is a "niche" model even by Mercedes' standards, with fewer than 150,000 delivered in the roughly four years through the end of 2008. Every CLS-Class sale is valuable "plus business" that the famed German brand would have otherwise missed.

Not surprisingly, the CLS-Class formula has inspired other bucks-up coupe-style 4-doors such as BMW's X6 quasi-SUV, the 2010 Porsche Panamera, the 2010 Aston Martin Rapide, and 2011 Audi A7. Even Volkswagen has joined in with a "junior CLS-Class," the 2009 CC sedan.

So how does the original get back ahead of this pack? Mainly, sources say, with a bevy of "driver assistance" features borrowed from the latest E-Class and S-Class premium-large sedans, plus fresh styling. At least, that's the plan.

The proportions remain as spectacular as ever: long hood, tightly-styled frameless side windows and a dynamic roof sweeping back at an angle towards the rear. The four-door Coupé from Mercedes-Benz immediately made its mark in 2003 as a new style icon. Though the proportions are the same, the second generation of this design trendsetter has a completely new look.

The interior of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is also distinguished by a timeless design which combines discreet elegance with innovative details and handcrafted perfection. The eye-catching cockpit features a wrap-around dashboard sweeping from the driver's door over the instrument panel support and across to the front passenger door. The central display has also been integrated seamlessly into the upper part of the instrument panel.

2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran
2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran
The new 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran comes equipped with a "bad road kit" that includes longer suspension springs that offer a 20 mm higher clearance, 215 tires at the front and 235 at the rear, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran also features wider wheel arches, new side sills, and new front and rear bumpers. For better protection, the 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran also features black grained protective strips on the doors. The equipment list of the new 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran also includes a matt aluminum roof rack, stainless steel styling accents, front and rear electric windows and new seats.

For better comfort on bumpy roads, the 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran offers height adjustment and lumbar support for the front seats.

CrossTouran is available with the same diesel and petrol engines ranging in power from 77 kW to 125 kW (105 to 170 PS), and also can be had with the particularly efficient and environmentally friendly ‘EcoFuel’ natural gas engine. This engine averages 4.8 liter per 100 Km when running on Gas and emits 33 grams of CO2 per every Km.

Volkswagen Press Release:

It's the positive lifestyle statement of the summer: the new Volkswagen CrossTouran! Following the CrossPolo and CrossGolf launched earlier in the year, the VW CrossTouran now fills the gap in the Cross lifestyle family. Volkswagen's 'more extrovert' compact MPV is now available to order from a starting price of €27,700.

The Touran already follows the new Volkswagen design DNA and impresses externally with a dynamic character line, a new, powerful rear-end design and two-part taillight clusters. However, the Volkswagen CrossTouran traditionally 'goes one better' and with its modified bad road kit complete with longer suspension springs it gets 20 millimetres more ground clearance than the standard model. On top of that comes the mix of 215 tyres at the front and 235s at the back, both on 17-inch alloy wheels. Thanks to its striking exterior elements the new CrossTouran is also instantly perceived as an autonomous model. The widened wheel arches form a unit with the side sills, which are drawn right up into the doors. It is also given a sporty character by the differentiated front and rear bumpers and the black grained protective strips on the doors.

In addition to a specific design the autonomous 'Cross' brand also stands - like 'GTI' and 'R' - for a specially designed set of features. As well as the alloy wheels, bodywork kit and bad road suspension, the new Volkswagen CrossTouran boasts added features aplenty: a roof rack in matt aluminium, decorative trim in stainless steel look, electric windows front and rear, extra comfortable seats in the front with height adjustment and lumbar support, leather steering wheel plus leather trim on gearlever knob and handbrake and a special seat cover pattern.

Through the sum of its special features the VW CrossTouran glistens with Wolfsburg virtues: interior comfort and convenience (40 storage bins and optional third seating row), driving fun and environmental awareness. For instance, as well as with the familiar TSI and TDI engines the new Volkswagen CrossTouran is now also available with the particularly efficient and environmentally friendly 'EcoFuel' natural gas engine. Fuel consumption when driving on natural gas is 4.8 kilograms per 100 kilometres, which equates to CO2 emissions per kilometre of 133 grams. The additional natural gas tanks are located beneath the floor, so that the vehicle's cargo capacity of up to 1,989 litres is not affected.

In total Volkswagen CrossTouran customers have a wide array of TSI, TDI and natural gas engines to choose from, ranging in power from 77 kW to 125 kW (105 to 170 PS). This lifestyle-oriented all-rounder - complete with all visual and technical refinements - can now be ordered in Germany from a starting price of €27,700.

2010 Saab 9-5 Sedan

Sleek, sophisticated and unmistakably Saab, the all-new Saab 9-5 Sedan signals the dawn of a new era for the Saab brand. With progressive, confident styling and advanced technology, Saab's distinctive new flagship will bring a fresh, alternative choice to the premium saloon segment when it goes on sale in 2010.

The clean, sculpted shape embraces the purity of Scandinavian design, and its dramatic wraparound window graphic echoes Saab's aviation heritage. With styling inspired by the award-winning Saab Aero X Concept car and a muscular, low-slung stance, the new Saab 9-5 heralds the introduction of a bold and expressive design language.

The array of high-tech features on offer includes: an aircraft-inspired head-up information display (HUD); adaptive headlights (Bi-Xenon Smart Beam); adaptive cruise control; Saab DriveSense adaptive chassis with real-time damping control; keyless entry and starting; dual-zone climate control; dynamic parking assistance, and Saab XWD with eLSD: the industry-leading all-wheel-drive system.

The all-turbo powertrain line-up is the broadest ever offered by Saab, carrying forward Saab's rightsizing engine strategy focusing on responsible performance through the development of highly efficient four cylinder turbo engines. There is a choice of three fuels - petrol, diesel and E85 bioethanol - and with diesel power, the new 9-5 offers CO2 emissions as low as 139 g/km.

Styling cues from 9-4X BioPower concept are clearly present - making Saab's final GM-created model a welcomed fresh face for the Scandinavian automaker's aging lineup.

The dark interior has some cues from the 9-3 but appears to be a mostly all-original design. The interior comes with the premium technology expected from a vehicle in this class, including a heads-up display system, adaptive Bi-Xenon Smart Beam headlamps, adaptive cruise control, tri-zone air conditioning and dynamic parking assistance.

Infotainment choices include a top-of-the-line Harman/Kardon surround sound audio system and an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system, complete with hard disk storage for map data and 10 GB of jukebox-style music files. A large center console provides stowage and connections for several portable devices through USB and Aux ports alongside a 12-volt power outlet.

Rear passengers can access their own audio or watch a DVD. The rear seat entertainment unit in the back of the center console accommodates audio controls and fold-out viewing screens are installed in the front seat-backs, along with wired and wireless headphones for listening and viewing.

Drivers will enjoy the Saab-exclusive DriveSense adaptive chassis with real-time damping control, as well as Saab XWD (all-wheel drive) with rear eLSD (limited-slip differential). Combined, these technologies help to make the new Saab 9-5 Sedan a viable choice for buyers in any climate.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new 9-5 will gain some extra weight, height and length. The wheelbase is also being increased by 14 cm to improve ride dynamics and comfort, and ultimately making it a larger and more competitive vehicle against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CTS and Volvo S80.

The new 9-5 comes with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions and — true to Saab tradition — only turbocharged powerplants. At launch, the 9-5 will be available with a 2.0-liter turbo diesel, producing 160 horsepower. There will also be a 220 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo gas motor and a range-topping 300 horsepower 2.8-liter turbocharged V6. Models fitted with the 2.8-liter engine will also come equipped with Saab's XWD all-wheel drive system.

Later on, a 180 horsepower 1.6-liter gas engine and a 2.0-liter E85-capable unit will be added to the 9-5 mix.

Ford Press Release:
The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 combines two rich traditions into an extraordinary package for customers who crave capability and long for the open road. With authentic styling, a new standard 6.2-liter V8 engine and plenty of technology upgrades, it’s the most powerful and capable Ford Harley-Davidson F150 yet.

“The new 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 perfectly blends the flexibility and capability of F-Series trucks with the free spirit of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles,” said Eric Kuehn, chief engineer. “Both companies have a passion for the road, which shines through in our specialized truck.”

The successful collaboration between these two icons of the open road has produced nine F150 models, as well as six Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models, and in 2009, the first Harley-Davidson F-450 edition truck. The exterior of the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 offers a bold front fascia and six-bar-shaped billet-style satin chrome grille and boasts “Harley-Davidson” satin chrome badging. The truck also has a lowered appearance because of a standard, fully integrated deployable running board.

Also standard are 22-inch Euroflange forged wheels with a polished center wheel cap and low-profile performance tires. The paint selection is classic Harley-Davidson – Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver.

New graphics on the hood and body side of the truck are executed in an engine-turned finish and feature dimensional satin chrome “Harley-Davidson” lettering. The graphics are reminiscent of the “speed scallops” used on hot rods.
Interior trim panels are covered in Tuxedo Black paint, while the door scuff plate and console lid also carry the engine-turned finish. All interior chrome surfaces feature a new satin finish. Premium leather-trimmed seats come with accent color inserts and a unique cloisonné badge.

New engine, more power

Ford tapped into a bit of its proud racing heritage to create the new 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine, which uses big-bore architecture to produce impressive horsepower and torque. The new gasoline engine delivers 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque and provides improved maximum trailer towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.

“This engine has tons of torque and already has been proven in the field with both the F150 SVT Raptor and Super Duty,” said Mike Harrison, V8 engine program manager. “The exhaust for the Ford Harley-Davidson edition has been specially tuned to feature a throaty V8 rumble customers will love.”

Benefits of the new 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine include:

-SOHC valvetrain with roller-rocker shafts: The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) per cylinder head design results in a stiff valvetrain that allows optimized camshaft lift profiles and results in great low-speed torque. The roller-rocker shafts allow valve angles to be splayed, resulting in optimized intake and exhaust port layout for better breathing.
-Dual-equal variable cam timing: Intake and exhaust valve opening and closing events are phased at the same time to optimize fuel economy and performance throughout the engine speed range and throttle positions.
-Two spark plugs per cylinder: Due to the large bore size, two spark plugs per cylinder are used to more efficiently burn the fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber, enabling better fuel economy and increased engine torque. The twin plugs also help the engine maintain a smooth, stable idle.
-Dual knock sensors: A knock sensor on each bank of cylinders of the V8 engine allows the spark timing of each cylinder to be individually optimized real-time, throughout the engine speed range. The engine learns the optimum timing via an adaptive algorithm.

Taking convenience to the next level

The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 adds plenty of technology options to give customers what they are looking for. Key to helping customers take advantage of all the capability offered by the Harley-Davidson F150 is a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display) productivity screen.

This screen offers menu options, giving the customer important information related to fuel economy and towing performance. The menu is navigated through a five-way button on the steering wheel and is positioned between the tachometer and speedometer.

Additionally, the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 comes equipped with a standard voice-activated Navigation System that integrates several functions including voice-recognition destination entry, climate control and SIRIUS® Satellite Radio into one easy-to-use system, displaying them on an 8-inch touch screen.

For the customer who wants more control of transmission gear selection, SelectShift Automatic transmission functionality is available. A toggle switch located on the console shift lever engages the mode, where the transmission doesn’t second-guess the driver, giving him or her total control over gear selection and performance feel.

Other standard features on the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 include:

-Power moonroof
-Rear view camera
-Second-row heated seats
-Ambient lighting
-Remote Start System

Customized Harley-Davidson appeal

The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 interior is customized to appeal to the truck buyer who appreciates the attention to detail for which both Ford and Harley-Davidson are renowned.

Examples are the seats and console lid, which feature handmade cloisonné badges that are produced by the same company that makes badges for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles; the console has a limited-edition serialization plate, which is numbered individually.

“We take creation of the Ford Harley-Davidson trucks very seriously, but it’s also something we have a lot of fun with along the way,” said Design Manager Brad Richards. “We hope that comes through in each of the finished trucks.

“We ensure Ford Harley-Davidson trucks exude the same bold personality as the legendary motorcycles,” Richards added. “We take two brands that are undeniably unique and forge a product that embodies the best qualities of both
